An Award

I was nominated for the Beachy Blogger Award by California Harmony  Thank you!
Now on to the questions....
1. Why does "caregiver" and "caretaker" mean the same thing? I think one means you give care and the other means you take away from care?
3. What happens when you get "Scared half to death" twice? You die :)
4. What color is your hair?Red
5. Why do they call tiny candy bars "Fun Size?" Wouldn't it be more fun to eat a big one? I think it is fun because its small, like doll's ? :)
6. Why did Yankee Doodle name the feather in his hat Macaroni? I'm not sure..
7. Why is it that when things get wet they get darker, even though water is clear? Good point, now I will be wondering about that forever
8. Why do we call something sent by a car a shipment and something send sent by a ship a cargo? It's not sent by that kind of transportation?
9. If the product says "Do not use if seal is broken" how are you supposed to open the thing and use it? I think it means when you buy it if it is already open then you should not use it
10. Why is it that people say "They slept like a baby" when babies wake up 10 times every hour? We will never know...
Thank you again for nominating us!
P.S. This Sunday's Sewing post will be doubled as we were not able to post last Sewing Sundays post. Important update: We will not be doing Dollar store Wednesday for a while as you will see in thrifty find Fridays post......

Sewing Sunday and Dollar Store Wednesday

Hi! Sorry I have been absent lately but I have a very good excuse, I was sewing. Son on thrifty find Friday I found some "fabric" at the thrift store, one bag was actually fabric and the other was linens like napkins. The dollar store Wednesday part of this is showing you for about a dollar you can get about a yard or more of fabric at the thrift store! Read on to find out how I used this in sewing..

So on Sunday I knew I wanted to sew Kirsten's meet dress, only one problem, I didn't have enough fabric to make the dress. So then I opted to make an apron out of the fabric. Then on Monday because I had already printed out the pattern (I used Kirsten's pretty clothes here) I got some fabric from hobby lobby.  I decided I would use the solid pink and blue to make Kirsten's Apron Dress or otherwise known as Kirsten's Birthday dress. Then with the green fabric with white tulips I would make Kirsten's School Dress. Since then whenever I have gotten the chance I have been sewing, which is why I didn't post Sewing Sunday and Dollar Store Wednesday.  I first made the pink one and even though it is a little bit messed up I decided to keep it for now (because this is Kirsten's only clothes)

Coconut decided to photo-bomb some of the photo's, thank goodness he was groomed.
I also crocheted an apron and will eventually embroider flowers on it and maybe a pocket.  I am really excited to start adding to Kirsten's collection!
That's all for now,

Coming Home

It was a Friday morning when our counselor told us we were going to have a visitor that was going to be our sister, so we all stayed in when we had quiet time and set up some balloons and a sign, Saige helped out of course.  We all waited impatiently as minutes ticked by....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------  I think I have the right address...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Their was a knock at the door and a soft voice called "Is this Cabin Butterfly?"
"Kirsten!!!!" We all yelled as we rushed over to her

"I can show you wear to sit" Marie Grace explained as she showed Kirsten over to a chair decorated with hair ribbons, the only thing they could find that morning.  Mia followed closely behind.

"We each got you a gift, here, open one." Felicity said as she handed Kirsten a shiny polka dot bag.

As she opened all the presents Kirsten got up and said, "Thank you so much!" Saige said, "It was all Marie Grace's idea.." Marie Grace sheepishly looks at Kirsten "I know what its like to be the new sister and I thought a party would be the best thing to welcome a new sister into the family."  Kirsten got up and went over and gave Marie Grace a hug... Soon everybody joined in.

Everybody posed for a group shot.

"Here's your bed!, we found a quilt since you came from 1854 and were a pioneer and all." Mia remarked (STILL in her pj's ;)

Did any of you guess right? Did you think a new sister was going to join the family? That's all for now... Bye!

Thrifty Find Friday

Hi! This is Felicity here with this weeks finds.
Our first find is-
$0.50 memory board
This will look great in a future room!
Next find is-
$1.00 Umbrella

We found this umbrella at a garage sale for $1! It is the perfect size for us dolls and is very cute, Marie-Grace would approve.
The last find is-
$1.50 bags of fabric

We found some awesome bags of fabric and we will definitely be using them for Sewing Sunday posts.  (hint: the blue fabric with red flowers should give you a clue as to who or what arrived in the mail yesterday)

Thrifty Find Friday

Hi! I can't wait to share with you my finds for this week so lets get started.
Hey, its Mia and I am here to show you this Friday's thrifty finds. You might be wondering why I am wearing pajamas, and no, I am NOT a couch potato, this is our first thrifty find.

Doll sized pajamas $0.50
When I found these I knew they would be a perfect addition to our wardrobe. They fit a little loose and I don't know what brand makes them but they are quite comfortable and are made of flannel. Along with this their was a clown costume and a robe, we didn't like those so we put them back ;) They remind me of Emily's pajamas but a different style.

Doll Sized Chair $3.00
This is "expensive" compared to other chairs we have found but I am really surprised, it is a really nice quality and will go great in our future nature themed living room.

 (Colonial?) Writing Desk $2.00
So we don't know what the previous purpose of this is for but we are going to use it as a writing table, we think it is "colonial" or of that time period because of this picture-
While it looks similar it would probably not be painted with blue roses. We will still use it in Felecity's future colonial room though.
It is a little on the small scale but it works and we will probably not find anything like this again.

Portrait $0.50
We found this as we were walking out and we thought this would also be perfect for Felicity's room to. I wish I could have that dress :)

Sorry for the poor quality pictures we were having picture uploading and camera-not-charging difficulties :)

Thanks for looking! Make sure to be on the lookout for good deals, you never know when you might find something.
P.S. Don't I look comfy in my pj's? ;)
