AGPC Season One Challenge Three

I love the theme for this one, which is black and white,  as I haven't really tried editing pictures into a black and white picture. It turned out to be really fun! Here is my entry- 

 So for my entry I wanted to try something different- I was looking for inspiration and a picture on pinterest caught my eye- a girl swinging- I wanted to recreate the picture with Rebecca who is the doll I entered, so with a scrap of wood and a rope I created a doll sized swing! I will definitely have to try black and white photography more as I love the effect!

Etsy Spring Release

Eee! It's here! I have been (impatiently) painting while waiting to list the items. Here is the link if you want to check it out. Most I designed just drawing it out and modifying Liberty Jane patterns although a few I didn't use a pattern at all, just a drawing. I can't believe that the items came out exactly how I pictured them. Usually when I have something in mind I want to make it doesn't come out like the design I had in my head at all :) I loved learning new sewing techniques and shopping for fabric and finding inspiration! To not leave this post picture less here are a few of the items listed-

Review Tuesday

Hi! Today's review is the School Days Outfit it retails for $30. I have this on Mia right now paired with a floral skirt I made and the shoes and changing out the pants really makes a difference! The wide legged pants are very cute and basic on their own but with a fitted shirt like the one in this outfit the combination isn't very flattering. This outfit is also amazing as their is no pink anywhere! (Not to hate pink but my dolls have enough of it)
Overview-  

Shirt- I love the collar and the sequins on it! One of my favorite shirts I have from AG and can be worn in both spring, summer and fall. The best part about it? The green shirt! Literally, this is one of the very few outfits I have from American Girl that includes green. The shirt closes in back with Velcro although only part way (?) The AG tag thankfully is the same color of the shirt and is not *that* noticeable. 

Pants- I like the contrast stitching and the loose fit of the pants is great for anyone who has a boy doll, I have yet to create a combination I like with these pants but they are great for mix and match. The best part is the real pockets, the dolls thumb can actually fit in!

 Shoes- The shoes are very cute! Of course, I say that about every AG outfit but American Girl almost never goes wrong with the shoes. The bows add a cute touch although I think the front of them goes up a little too high, I wish they were a deeper cut. (Did I explain that right?)  No tag! Although on the bottom is the American Girl name and logo imprinted, I prefer this. 

A barrette also came with this, the barrette was a see through plastic yellow with a black plastic clasp and is exactly like Rebecca's barrette from her meet outfit. From my experience with Rebecca's barrette it is a really poor quality and can easily break. Of course it can also easily be lost which is what happened to mine, I think it is in an unmarked American Girl box somewhere.. Overall a cute outfit and mostly great quality, great outfit to add for a basic wardrobe.

Here Comes the Sun

and then snow starts falling....Oh well, at least it's not sticking! Yesterday I dressed Saige up,added a bouquet of flowers from the Bouquet nightstand and a tote bag I sewed.  

 

 

Saige is perfect for this dress!
