Sewing Sunday

Hi! So I didn't really know what to post for this Sewing Sunday but I found a t shirt I made a while back from a baby onesie.  It was one of my first times sewing with knits and I didn't know their was a different needle that could be used to get better results :)

It was definitely a learning experience! Is anybody else excited for AG's release on Thursday, I'm hoping Rebecca get's some new items. Thank's for looking,

The Darling Doll Blog Award

Hello! I just got back from Joann's and I can't wait to start cutting out patterns :) Anyway, Ginger from Ginger's Toy Chest nominated me for the Darling Doll Blog Award, thank you for thinking of me :)
The questions are-
1.) What doll is next up on your wish list? Although I have a lot of dolls I would love to get, I am currently planning on purchasing Lindsey and Grace Thomas around the same time as I want them to be sisters.
2.) If your doll(s) could have any pet that they wanted, what would they choose? Probably a lama or a dolphin :)
3.) What are some of your favorite things to do? I love reading, sewing, taking pictures, blogging, setting up photo stories and you can often find me creating something.
4.) What do you think about Grace, the new GOTY? I think she is very cute and I will hopefully be adding her to my collection I just wish American Girl would come out with a doll of color as the girl of the year.
5.) If your doll(s) could come to life, what do you think they would say to you? They would probably say hurry up with getting the dollhouse ready so they could move in, right now everything has been taken down and they are just standing their :)
Nominations-

Around The Dollhouse

Hi! We have some exciting news to share with you..I'll let the photo's tell you :)

Saige was walking back from the post office, eagerly opening the lone letter in her hand, as she read the title she dropped the letter on the ground..

"I can't believe it! The real estate agency said we won! We won the house!"

Curious as to what the commotion was all about Rebecca, Marie Grace and Mia walked over to Saige
Felicity and Kirsten who were across the street ran over, looking concerned.
"Guys, we are moving!"
Gasps of surprise rang out all throughout the group, clearly, Saige wasn't the only one excited.  A few days before the girls had news that a new house was almost finished and ready to be on the market, the girls quickly applied and were hopefully wishing. "We can look at the house today!"  They followed Saige to the house, already planning when they would move in..

"This will be the living room and kitchen..." Saige named as she gave them a tour

"This is going to be my room!" Kirsten exclaimed

"I'll take this one." Felicity offered

"Yes!!I get the attic!" Marie Grace said as she jumped for joy, momentarily forgetting she was afraid of heights.

"Correction, we get the attic." Rebecca said, thankful somebody was going to share a room with her in the attic as she counted all the haunted stories that take place in an attic...
"And me and you can share this bedroom." Saige cheerfully said, Mia barely heard, trying to wrap her mind around that they were moving..

Can you believe it?! I am so excited, I can't wait to paint and decorate. Thank you to my Dad and Uncle for building this, they did a great job didn't they ;)
 A couple more pictures...

This is what we are planning to do in each room, it isn't set in stone yet and most room's are for future dolls. Right now we are deciding what we want to paint and decorate each room with I can't wait to update the progress next Friday. Thanks for looking,

Review Tuesday

Hi! This Review Tuesday I am reviewing the Frosty Fair Isle set, which, conveniently, is on sale for $15! Here is an overview-

This is a really cute set and is perfect for winter activities.
The boot's are made out of a fleece material with a plastic sole and embroidered snowflakes on the sides.
I am not a big fan of the plastic sole's but it is much better than just a fabric bottom.
The snowflakes are a cute touch although I have never seen something with this before on boot's.
The leggings are your basic design and are great for mix and match.
On the back their is a purple American Girl tag.
And inside is another tag also.
The sweater is my favorite piece in the set, I love the design and the fact that it is blue!
A blue american girl tag is located on the front right.
The sweater closes in back with no snag Velcro. The sweater is very soft and is really nice quality.

Unfortunately the sweater stitching is sort of unraveling :(
The headband is my least favorite part, it is a really pretty color, that also matches the boots but hardly stretches at all.
The headband is really hard to get on the doll, especially one with bangs.
Of course AG has to tag the headband and it sticks out..

Overall this is really cute, definitely worth the price of $15 and great for those who yet have a lot of winter clothes for dolls (like me!) Thanks for reading!

Sewing Sunday

Today's project is a peplum skirt. This is basically a tryout to see if it look's right with some leftover fabric I have had for a year. I think it is a success!

I also let Marie-Graces hair out of her original hairstyle and I love how long and thick it is! I can't wait to try out different hairstyles.  This was really quick to make and along with a few improvements I will add this to the list of things I want to sew for a release.  Thanks for looking-
