Hi! The only reason I didn't post yet? I couldn't settle on a title ;) Yesterday this was supposed to be published but I was having second thoughts on what I should title this! I eventually just settled on using this as a Sewing Sunday post.
You may have seen a previous Sewing Sunday post featuring a doll skirt made from an upcycled shirt, well, I had a lot of the shirt left over and I decided to make a dress out of it. This was a long time ago and I finally got around to making the dress! I used the existing invisible zipper for the back (so happy!) and sewed my very first circle skirt. I have a feeling that many circle skirts (skater skirts or whatever you call them) will be in the works.
After the dress success I was really excited to go outside and take pictures, so I went to a special spot inspired by the name I gave the dress, "Woodland Sprite" I loved the leaf pattern and thought this would be a perfect accompaniment to any doll fairy :)
Thanks to my helper for holding the reflector for me, posing the doll and throwing the leaves so I could get the required leaf pile shot ;) A big medal for you!
Thanks for looking!,
This dress is also listed on my Etsy! (Link)
That turned out great, I love what you did with it. So funny that you posted this today, I just got done commenting to my husband that I need to remember to look for a denim shirt the next time I am at a thrift store, I want to cut it up to make a couple of doll things.
