Review Tuesday

Hi! Today's review is on the Floral Swim Outfit for $30 from the My AG line. Let's start with an overview of the outfit-  

 I had to add this pic in here, apparently Google added effects on this one ;) 

 Kirsten has more of a tan body than most of my other dolls..

 The outfit comes with a two piece swimsuit, cover up and flip-flops.  

 The top is cute but the ruffle along the top sticks out at a weird angle . 

 The top fastens in the back with no snag Velcro. 

One thing I was really disappointed in was after putting this on the doll about three times one of the straps stitching is already coming off- not very good quality. The fabric is regular swimwear fabric and a really fun print.  

  A blue american girl marks the front of the swimsuit, it fits really well even on pleasant company dolls. 

 Cover up-

 I really like the embroidered flowers on this even though I'm not a big fan of the color's they picked for the flowers and the cover up- the in your face pink it a little too much. 

Overall very cute and very realistic- the fabric is what you would find on a regular sized cover up. 

 The flip-flops are made out of a very sturdy foam, these are my first doll flip-flops and they are so cute! I am looking forward to taking pictures with them in the summer.

 The flip flops are imprinted with American Girl as well as the logo and Made in China. 

 I really like that the bottom is textured, the doll's are able to stand up very well with these shoes.   
Overall I am happy with the outfit, the quality is not as good as I hoped it would be but as my first swimwear from AG I really like it! Are you considering getting it?

Sewing Sunday

This sewing day (or week) I have been working on a colonial dress for Felicity,I would have pictures to show you but the stomacher piece of the dress is giving me a bit of trouble as all of the lace and ribbons I have tried so far I haven't liked, I am really happy with how the skirt and dress came together and I can't wait to share it with you :) I'm hoping once I make up my mind I will update this post with some pictures, until then-

Around the Dollhouse

Hello! With a new year I wanted to introduce themed posts while keeping some favorites like Sewing Sunday. I wanted to create this series as it's fun to have photo stories but those are both long and I also wanted to focus on still's of the doll's everyday lives. So... I introduce Around the Dollhouse! This will be up every Thursday or Friday and also feature what is happening behind the scenes as well as important updates. Here we go....... 

 As Saige was making a very important life decision (which shoe she should wear to a Art Show) Mia was heading to the local rec center to tryout for the swimming team. (She finally has conquered her fear of deep water)

 "Saige, could you hand me the lotion? My skin is going to be so dry after being in the water.." Mia said, putting on her cover-up. 

 "I am in the middle of something! Get it yourself!" Saige exclaimed tossing the shoe she was holding across the room. 

 Kirsten was able to dodge the flying shoe quite easily and was impatiently eating her breakfast for dinner, hoping the mailman would hurry up with her new bed.

 "Hey, I'm back!" Marie Grace said as she took her coat off, "Is dinner ready?"

 "Kirsten's currently eating it." Rebecca answered trying to talk Felicity into jumping on the bed with her..

 "Then could you get off your bed?, my bed is too hard to bounce on.." Rebecca doesn't usually eat a lot of sugar, it can have a um "interesting" effect on her

 "Fine, I'm going to go do homework." Felicity snapped, Felicity was usually on very good terms with Rebecca but she can sometimes get on her nerves

 "Yes!" It's finally here! I've been waiting CENTURIES for this to get here." (Actually now that I think about it she might have....)

 "My own bed, I don't have to share with Marie-Grace anymore!"

 As you can tell Kirsten was very excited, wouldn't you want your own bed after sharing it with someone who always keeps the light on to read before bed?

 Bare feet is the best <3

Review Tuesday

 

I wanted to start Review Tuesday as while reviewing Grace's Pajama's I enjoyed telling you my thoughts as well as taking pictures of the outfits, with Cyber Monday and Jill's Steals and Deals I have accumulated a lot of outfits that I would like to tell you my thoughts on as I always enjoy reading other peoples reviews and seeing the products up close rather than just stock photo's. Today's review is Addy's Blue Dress, this dress has gone through many names :) 

 The outfit comes with a gingham ribbon, the ribbon is a suitable size, I can tie the ribbon around a pony tail and then tie it into a bow, I think this ribbon goes very well with the dress and is very adorable. 

 The fabric is a lightweight striped cotton dress, the front bodice is lined but the rest of the dress isn't,  I'm not a big fan of it being see-through but with a lot of tiny tucks I know it's easier to create intricate tucks with a fabric that is very lightweight. 

 The dress features four growth tucks. and small tucks around the waist, top and sleeves. 

 The dress features Velcro in the back, the Velcro stops halfway. 

 I like that the tag is inside the dress ;)

 Since the dress was folded into a box the dress has creases from being folded, I also want to purchase the crinoline and chemise as this dress look's better than without :)
